Hi Chantell, intended to send you
some photos anyway (with my new camera) ggg. The quilt is made with
155 apple cores. I didn't sew the satin stitch edge on the apple
core panels, instead I joined them together with a zigzag
stitch and then using 3 strands of acrylic yarn in the cording foot
of my machine I sewed the yarn over the seams using a wide 3 step
zigzag. I put a flannel backing on the back and used black thread on
the top and cream in the bobbin to match the flannel and straight
stitched over the yarn to hold it together. I am pleased with the
outcome. I made this quilt hoping to make a bit of a hole in my
scraps bag but it made no difference at all lol..Regards Jeannette.
